Tony and Clown at the 2004 Midlothian Day Parade

The South of the James Junior Chamber (Jaycees) is the premier organization for young leaders in the metropolitan Richmond area.  We offer opportunities for you to create new relationships and add to your skills.  With several activities and events scheduled each month, you can choose to either attend, participate in or be a part of team of volunteers -- there's something for everyone!  Membership is open to young adults who are between 21 and 40.

Our motto is          Change   Your    World.  These are three small words with big opportunities and challenges. In the Jaycees, your ideas give you a chance, your involvement gives you the experience, and as a member of South of the James chapter, we give our members opportunities to change their world!

Through community and personal development projects, such as the Midlothian Day Village Parade or the SOJJ Film Festival, or voter registration drives, we are building a better world around us … one leader at a time.
